Does Slime dry up in your tire?

I'm considering adding Slime to my tire to seal up my rim leak, as I'm losing 2-3 psi of air every week through my allow rims. Does slime dry up in your tire when left in there, or does it stay in liquid or goo form? I know Fix-a-Flat does stay wet in the tire, which concerns me. Or does anyone have another suggestion for a decent tire sealant?
