Is it bad for the bride to wear a black wedding dress ?

i just want to get some opinions. i like to be original and i don't like to do things how they are 'supposed' to be done. so i want to wear a black wedding dress at my wedding and i want my husband to wear a white tux. i'm not trying to be morbid or gothic or anything, i'm not like that at all. the main reason i decided on a black dress is just because i found a gorgeous dress that i would love to wear, and it just happened to be black. but now, i have fallen in love with the idea of a black dress. and like i said, i just like to be different :] however, i was wondering if there is any meaning, or superstitious belief to a bride with a black dress ? like bad luck, or something ? i know the bride is supposed to wear white as a sign of purity and blah blah blah.. but i'm really not wearing any color as a sign of anything. i just want to love my dress, be original, and look pretty. and i was thinking that all the guests could wear white, instead of not being allowed to :] let me know !
