Rules for housing development in california?

You would have to ask them ,if they agree he makes enough money on his own to qualify to have an apt on his own, they may possibly remove your name off the lease, they may though require him to rent it on his own,its your money on file for all the deposits, and Im not sure how they would handle refunding you and having him pay the money, its all about whats legal and safe for them to do. If you simply move out, hes on the lease so he can pay the rent, but if he doesnt pay the rent or damages the unit or his friends do, they will go after both of you, and if your working and they get a judgment, they will serve it to you, they only care about getting the money paid, not which resident on the lease caused it. So safegaurd yourself, ask questions, and maybe not move back home to help out, find other ways to help them.
