Can you get strep throat from giving head?

I gave my fwb head twice last week and at school I had a sore throat and the nurse told me I might have strep throat she said I have two white dots on my tonsils also I smoke but I havnt smoked in a while (since before I gave him head) could he have given me strep throat from shoving it down my throat? It only started to hurt the following week
