What is the influence of Mozart on the modern German-speaking society?
German nationals undoubtedly consider Mozart a cultural treasure, especially in the clical music world, but its hard to say whether he has any influence on modern German speakers in general. You could ask yourself the same question about Elvis and modern English-speaking society. There are plenty of English speakers who don't think about Elvis at all: he is an American, so Americans treasure him; while plenty of people in the UK or India have heard of him, he isn't from there and doesn't particularly influence the lives of modern English speakers.
